The shroud is a very important part of the pH Truncheon. It must ALWAYS be firmly attached to the probe tip at all times. This will ensure the pH Truncheon remains waterproof and stops ingress of solution up behind the probe. The shroud twists on and off, but should only be removed when replacing a Contact Ring or probe cell.
The pH Truncheon also has an oring on the body that the shroud twists down onto. If you require a replacement shroud, do you also need a new oring?
